On Thursday (July 4), Team India returned to New Delhi from Barbados after winning the 2024 T20 World Cup. The team was scheduled to leave on Monday (July 1) but the plan was postponed due to inclement weather conditions. BCCI secretary Jay Shah arranged a chartered flight, and now Rohit Sharma’s 2024 T20 World Cup champions have arrived in India’s capital.

The team was greeted with great love by the fans, who were present en masse at the airport. Rohit was also seen flaunting the T20 World Cup trophy from the bus as fans cheered his name outside.

When the players reached ITC Maurya Hotel, they did Bhangra and were in a cheerful mood. In the videos that have since gone viral, Suryakumar Yadav, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Rishabh Pant and Indian captain Rohit Sharma were seen dancing their hearts out.

Here are the videos of Team India’s arrival:

The Men in Blue defeated South Africa in the final of the 2024 T20 World Cup. South Africa were favorites at one point when they needed 30 off the last five overs.

However, the Indian bowlers were on fire and did a great job restricting the Proteas batters as Rohit Sharma’s side won the match by seven runs. This was India’s first ICC trophy since the 2013 Champions Trophy and their first T20 World Cup title after 17 years (2007).
