Donald Trump says he learned that people could get away with disgusting behavior as long as they had good ratings, as he did on ‘The Apprentice’… according to a great book.
The ex-prez made the claims during an interview with Variety’s co-editor-in-chief Ramin Setoodeh for “Apprentice in Wonderland: How Donald Trump and Mark Burnett Took America Through the Looking Glass,” which came out Tuesday.
We’ve already told you a bit about the new book… but as a refresher, DJT sat through some interviews with Setoodeh and 45’s role as a lonely, sometimes mischievous man, ex-TV star, is not flattering. .
Anyway… Setoodeh says Trump reflected on his big insights from “The Apprentice,” saying, “It’s all about one thing: ratings. If you have ratings, you can be the meanest, most horrible person in the world. “
A pretty cynical look at Hollywood… but it sums up ‘The Apprentice’ in a nutshell – which many watched to see who would fire Trump week in week out.
Plus, Trump has made similar claims with a similar sentiment before – remember he once said women would allow men to do that “grab them by the p***y” as long as they are famous.
Donald’s team doesn’t deny his comments in the book — though they say Trump barely remembers an interaction with him and claim he’s a “loser” who is too focused on the Republican candidate.
Trump’s ‘Apprentice’ comments are pretty tame compared to other quotes in the book… including a part where he called Taylor Swift “unusually beautiful”–all the way objectify her.

Like we said, the book is out now… and we’ll have to see if the good ratings have any effect on the Donald.
