Google Photos has added a new feature that allows users to see fewer of certain people in their ‘Memories’.
By default, the Memories tab shows old photos and videos that Google Photos automatically selects and compresses. You can then save these as albums and even use generative AI to title them.
However, that may mean that people pop up in your memories that you would rather not have. As Android Police reports, you know you have the option to choose people to ‘Show Less’.
Once saved, this prevents them from only appearing on a photo in Memories. However, the person can still appear in group photos with other people.
If the user feels that the ‘Show Less’ feature isn’t enough, Google Photos still has the tools to completely ‘hide’ or ‘block’ certain people if they wish.
The idea of the Show Less feature is to give users a little more flexibility. You’ll find it in the settings menu of the Google Photos app.
