Nationa League Group 4 group stage play continues as Spain travel to Switzerland on Sunday. After a busy summer in which Spain won the European Championship and secured Olympic gold, they sputtered back into action in their first match with a goalless draw against Serbia. It wasn’t for a lack of tries, as Spain took 21 shots during the match, but they also received as many yellow cards (five) as they had shots on target in what was a start-and-stop affair.

It’s a chance for Switzerland to bounce back from their defeat to Denmark, but it won’t be an easy match for them despite playing on home soil.

Here are our storylines, how to watch them and more:

Storylines

Switzerland: The Swiss defense has been in top form of late, only allowing goals in the last five games, but after Granit Xhaka and Nico Elvedi both received red cards against Denmark, this will be a tough task. Xhaka is one of the first names on the Swiss player’s sheet and an irreplaceable presence in midfield, especially against an opponent as strong as Spain.

Spain: Repeating their performance against Serbia without the yellow cards will likely lead to a win for Spain in this match, which is a strong base to boot. This is one of the most talented national teams in the world and if they are allowed to control possession they are quite difficult to beat. Without Xhaka in midfield, there aren’t many players for Switzerland who can break Spain’s pass, which will make for a pretty entertaining 90 minutes.

Prediction

Spain’s attack will be too much for Switzerland to contain as they will riot in the match to get back on track. Choose: Switzerland 0, Spain 3
