Rosie O’Donnell makes her TV return in Max’s ‘And Just Like That’.
The comedian revealed Wednesday that she is joining the cast of the spinoff “Sex and the City” and shared a photo of the season 3 premiere script via Instagram. The photo shows her playing a character named Mary and the episode is titled “Outlook Good.” It is written and directed by executive producer Michael Patrick King.
“Here comes mary #andjustlikethat @hbo,” she captioned the photo. She also shared a selfie of herself with gray curly hair, captioning it, “Do you like it?”
O’Donnell previously hosted her own talk show, “The Rosie O’Donnell Show,” from 1996 to 2002. From 2006 to 2007, she served as a moderator on “The View” for a year. She last appeared on television. in 2022 on Showtime’s ‘American Gigolo.’
Earlier in the day, Sarah Jessica Parker, who plays lead character Carrie Bradshaw, also shared photos of scripts, tagging Kristin Davis (Charlotte), Cynthia Nixon (Miranda), Mario Cantone (Anthony), Nicole Ari Parker (Lisa), Sarita Choudhury ( Seema) and Katerina Tannenbaum (Lisette).
A spokesperson for Max confirms this Variety O’Donnell has been added to the cast. Among the departures for Season 3 of “And Just Like That” are Karen Pittman, who played Nya Wallace, and Sara Ramírez, who played Che Diaz. The series is scheduled to premiere in 2025.
