Trump and his supporters have confined their small crowds to small areas. It’s almost certain that Trump has supporters who will claim that thousands and thousands of his supporters were there, but the reality is that similar events in similar spaces usually draw hundreds of people, not thousands.
Staten Island is a reliably Republican area, so if a crowd were to show up in the New York area to protest Trump’s conviction, it would be there.
Rather than being a show of strength, the Staten Island rally, which featured an appearance by Rudy Giuliani, showed Donald Trump’s weakness, and his supporters appear to care little about his beliefs.
