The Portland Pickles baseball organization becomes the first sports team in the United States to legally sell marijuana-based products at a live sporting event.
In an announcement, the Pickles revealed that they have a new partnership with Cycling Frog, which sells THC-based seltzer drinks.
The team will begin selling the THC-based seltzer drinks at their stadium on June 18.
According to Oregon LiveThe seltzer drink contains 2 mg THC and 4 mg CBG and is available in lemon and passion fruit flavors.

Fans wishing to purchase the drink must be over 21 years old.

The Portland Pickles become the first sports team in the United States to legally sell cannabis-based products at live sporting events.
The baseball team announced Tuesday an exclusive partnership with Cycling Frog, which sells THC-based (derived from hemp) seltzer drinks. The team said it will begin selling the drinks at Walker Stadium on June 18.
The drink – which contains 2MG THC and 4MG CBG per can – will be available in passion fruit and lemon flavors.
“The Portland Pickles have a responsibility in the sports industry to make leaps and set a precedent in innovative partnerships,” said Ross Campbell, VP of Business Development for the Pickles, in a statement. “As we saw in 2019, we became the first team to ever partner with a CBD company, and teams all the way up to the Major League level of the sport soon followed suit.”
Because the drinks contain 2MG of hemp-derived THC per serving, fans must be at least 21 years old to purchase. According to their statement, the Pickles have consulted on regulations with the OLCC and Portland Parks and Recreation, which owns the stadium.
The Portland Pickles are a collegiate summer baseball team in the West Coast League.
