Man arrested early Thursday after series of burglaries at Waterloo businesses: police

Waterloo Regional Police say they arrested a man early Thursday morning during a crime spree in the city of Waterloo.

Police say officers were dispatched around 1 a.m. to respond to a call about a burglary in progress at a business on King Street, near Northfield Drive.

According to police, officers found a man leaving the business with merchandise.

They say officers soon learned the man was also a suspect in two other burglaries that occurred at businesses that same evening.

Police say a 41-year-old man is facing a long list of charges in connection with the incidents, including burglary to commit a criminal offense and possession of property obtained by crime.
