SHE MD Podcast
Khloe Kardashian says she was hesitant about picking up her newborn son when he was about to be delivered via surrogacy… and her doctor was willing to help.
The youngest Kardashian sister was at the SHE MD Podcast this week, where she spoke with OBGYN of the stars Dr. Thai Aliabadi and influencer of women’s advocates Mary Alice – who host the pod and invited Khloe as their most recent guest.
Khloe talked about welcoming her second child Tristan Thompson – a boy named Tatum — for whom they used a surrogate… and who Khloe says she had mixed feelings about during the pregnancy, including worrying about going to get him right away.
Khloe explains that she struggled to connect with the pregnancy because the baby was delivered through someone else… and then she finally got the news that it was time to explode — which happened sooner than expected — KK says she panicked.
As she describes, she was about to go on a Disney trip with her daughter WHERE – which was already planned and all set when she got the delivery news about Tatum.
Khloe says she felt like she needed more time and wasn’t quite ready to face the music about the baby actually being here — almost like she was in her own inner denial. When the doctor, Dr. A, told her there was no other choice… Khloe says her doctor offered an alternative.
She explains that Dr. Aliabadi said she would take the boy and take care of him herself for a while, and that when Khloe was ready to come get him…he would be there for her.
Khloe says she appreciated the offer and the kind gesture… but eventually gave up and went to pick up her child. Even when he was with her, she said it took a lot of time to bond with him… something she attributes to the surrogacy.
Khloe is making herself quite vulnerable here… and giving fans a behind-the-scenes look at what’s happening in this process – a process that other Kardashian sisters have started for their children.
