The mega hit Yellowstone may return to TV screens soon, but there are reportedly issues among the cast over who will be the successor Kevin Costner as top dog after his exit.
RadarOnline.com previously reported Costner, who played family patriarch John Dutton until 2023, announced he would be leaving the show midway through season 5 after butting heads with the show’s creator Taylor Sheridan.

After a nearly two-year hiatus, mainly due to scheduling conflicts that led to the Costner-Sheridan feud and the SAG-AFTRA strikes in Hollywood, the show finally returns for the second half of Season 5 on November 10.
But the highly anticipated return isn’t without drama, especially when it comes to choosing sides in Costner, 69, and Sheridan, 54’s ongoing feud.

The source added: “When Kevin was part of the cast, he was the undisputed alpha dog.
“Now there are really two camps: the people who are still loyal to Kevin, and the ones who are not.”

The source said: “Without Kevin, there will undoubtedly be room for a new star of the show, and the competition is among the cast.
“Things have already become quite chaotic and petty. So if the show does end up being renewed for another season, there will undoubtedly be some fireworks.
“There’s a lot of fame and money up for grabs, and everyone in the cast looks ready to battle it out to become the new leader of the pack!”

Sheridan has appointed Michele Pfeiffer to helm one of his new series.
While the future of the flagship Yellowstone It may be uncertain, but Sheridan and Costner both have enough on their plates.
