Jimmy Carr will host a British version of the comedy format “Last One Laughing” for Prime Video.
In the six-part series, Carr challenges ten of Britain’s best comedians to make each other laugh – with the last laughing being crowned the winner.
“Known for his dark humour, one-liners and THAT laugh, Jimmy Carr challenges 10 of Britain’s funniest comics to spend the day together without so much as a smile,” the synopsis reads. “Over the course of the series, they will use all their comedic talents to try to break their opponents without getting themselves into trouble.”
But it’s not just their fellow comedians that the contestants have to pay attention to. There will also be comedy cameos, format twists and surprises to try and keep the contestants laughing.
The series is based on a Japanese Amazon Original series titled ‘Documental’, created by and starring Hitoshi Matsumoto and owned by Yoshimoto Kogyo. It has since been adapted in more than 20 international territories, including France, Germany and Italy. Rebel Wilson has hosted an Australian version.
Banijay UK labels Initial and Zeppotron will produce the UK version.
