Jean Smart, Ariana Grande and Michael Keaton will host ‘SNL’ Season 50

NEW YORK– NEW YORK (AP) — Fresh off her Emmys win, Jean Smart is bringing her comedy to a new audience — kicking off the milestone 50th season of “Saturday Night Live.”

NBC on Thursday announced the lineup of hosts for the season, which premieres September 28. Jelly Roll will be present at Smart’s first show as a musical act. He was also at the Emmys and sang during the in memoriam segment of the ceremony.

It will be Smart’s first time hosting “SNL” and Jelly Roll’s first appearance on the show.

Comedian Nate Bargatze will perform on October 5, with Coldplay as musical guest.

Ariana Grande – who stars in the upcoming ‘Wicked’ film adaptation – will host on October 12, with Stevie Nicks making an appearance.

“Beetlejuice” star Michael Keaton will host on Oct. 19, the last show before Halloween, and Billie Eilish will be the musical guest that night.

“SNL” alum John Mulaney returns to the show as host on November 2, with breakout sensation Chappell Roan as music guest.
