It was an early start to Sunday for the Kelowna Fire Department as crews were called to a house fire at 6:30 a.m.
And when firefighters arrived at the 3100 block of Shetland Road, they saw smoke and flames coming from the rear of the three-story home.
Fire officials said the two-alarm fire had spread to the second floor and roof, but noted that all residents had left the home safely.
“Crews quickly knocked down the main body of the fire and then worked to complete hot spots throughout the roof system,” the fire department said.
The fire is not considered suspicious but is under investigation.
