From playing a super-powered mutant to an MMA fighter, Halle Berry has had her fair share of mishaps at work over the years.
The Academy Award winner recently compared battle scars to hair The Union co-star Mark Wahlberg as they discussed their dangerous experiences performing stunts in their many action films.
“I’ve been knocked unconscious three times, had a broken arm, broken my ribs twice – one time two ribs, the other time three ribs – I’ve broken a tailbone, broken two toes and a finger. This finger,” Berry said in Netflix clamp with a smile as she raised her middle finger.
One such injury happened on the 2003 set Gotikathen Berry broke a bone in her right forearmwhich postponed the recording by several weeks. Three of her ribs broken came from John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum (2019) and the other two came from her 2020 MMA drama Bruisedwhich also marked her directorial debut.
Wahlberg admitted that he was also “hit” a few times, revealing that he had a “torn meniscus, a separated shoulder and a bruised ego quite a few times.”

Berry plays a leading role The Unionwhich premieres on Netflix on August 16, as US intelligence agent Roxanne. Wahlberg plays her former high school sweetheart, construction worker Mike, who she takes on a high-stakes spy mission.
In addition to her tenure as Storm in the X Men franchise, Berry’s action credits include titles like Swordfish (2001), Die another day (2002), Cat lady (2004) and Kingsman: The Golden Circle (2017).
