Gisele Bundchen is getting major support from a Florida mayor who this week blasted a police officer for his “completely unacceptable” interaction with the model during a traffic stop.
Mayor of Surfside Charles Burkett sent a letter to the city’s interim police chief Henry Docedescribing his dismay at an officer’s treatment of Gisele.

The officer stopped Gisele for driving erratically as she tried to avoid the paparazzi following her. During their brief conversation, Gisele explained why she swerved and burst into tears while the officer let her go with a warning.
But in his letter, Burkett wrote that he was “appalled” to see the publicly released bodycam footage of the traffic stop, showing Gisele in tears as the officer spoke to her.
The mayor also noted that Gisele was upset and scared by the photos stalking her, but the officer’s “dismissive attitude” was “everything we don’t want to see in the way our police interact with each other and serve our residents.” ‘
Burkett summed it up by saying the officer should have shown “more empathy” and done his job better, even though he is considered a good officer in the community.
As for Chief Hoce, he has not indicated whether he will take disciplinary action against the officer.
