The Federal Bureau of Investigation raided what appeared to be the home of the gunman who attempted to kill Donald Trump during his campaign rally in Pennsylvania Saturday.
According to CBS News … FBI agents and local law enforcement responded to the Bethel Park residence of the now deceased 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks late last night. Public records show a man with the same name and age lived at that location.
During the raid, federal agents closed streets in the area and neighbors were evacuated from their homes.
CBS said Bethel Park police have launched a bomb investigation at Crooks’ home, although it is unclear why or if any explosives were found.
Crooks was fatally shot by the secret service agents when he attempted to execute the former president during the rally in Butler, PA.
Trump was hit by a bullet in the right ear while delivering a stump speech on a podium. He was rushed to a local hospital, where he was treated and released hours later. Two bystanders were also struck by gunfire and one was killed.
