Exclusive general aviation terminal for private aircraft users launched at Hyderabad Airport, BA

Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, run by the GMR group here, on Monday announced the launch of a new state-of-the-art general aviation terminal, tailor-made exclusively for private jet owners and users. A press release from the aerodrome operator said the new terminal aims to facilitate the diverse needs of passengers flying via charter flights meant for business or personal travel from the Hyderabad airport.

Pradeep Panicker, CEO, GMR Hyderabad International Airport, said on the occasion that the city is one of the booming economic powerhouses with the second highest concentration of ultra-high net worth individual (HNI), thriving pharmaceutical and IT industries and the development of global capabilities. Centers in the region by multinationals have fueled the movement of private jets.

“This new facility redefines the flying experience and will set a new standard for an extraordinary travel experience. The terminal will serve as an extension of luxury for many of our frequent HNI travelers, offering unparalleled comfort, convenience and tailor-made services. With our commitment to providing a world-class experience to our travelers, we aim to drive excellence in the years to come,” he said.

The general aviation (GA) terminal covers 11,234 square meters, is located next to the RGIA terminal and has its own entrance and parking. It features a distinctive theme of classical architecture blended with the Indo-Saracenic-Indo-Gothic style, and the interiors create an atmosphere rich in elegance and comfort.

The terminal offers a special facilitation service for domestic and international general aviation passengers and is equipped with a lounge, a private lounge, separate arrival and departure corridors, check-in, emigration immigration, customs checks and hand baggage processing, security clearance, breath test facility for crew, staff lounge, duty-free offers and a dedicated Wi-Fi service for seamless connectivity. Passengers are driven directly to and from the aircraft by a driver to avoid queues or delays. Rajiv Gandhi International Airport’s new general aviation terminal will set a new standard in comfort, efficiency and luxury. With its world-class facilities and excellent services, the lounge aims to transform the travel experience for domestic private aircraft users, it added.
