Eminem has been encouraged to make peace with his cancer-stricken mother. Debbie Nelson “she only has a very limited amount of time,” family members said.

The rapper has always supported his mother financially, but has not seen her for ‘years’.

But their relationship never recovered from a falling out over his lyrics and accusations Nelson made in her memoir and that her health diagnosis of late stage lung cancerthey don’t have much time to settle their differences.

As a family insider puts it, “She only has a very limited amount of time.”

Debbie Nelson has advanced lung cancer and family members believe her health is rapidly deteriorating.

Speaking with the National researcherthe source added, “People around her aren’t even sure if Eminem knows what’s happening to his mother.

“He makes sure he takes care of her, but they don’t really talk.

“It would be good for them (to communicate).

“This could give them an opportunity to reconcile.”

Eminem and Nelson had a falling out over her tell-all memoir.

Eminem – whose real name is Marshall Mathers – and Nelson have had a toxic relationship since 1999, when she hit him with an $11 million defamation lawsuit after the rapper called her a drug user in one of his songs.

However, the case only netted her a paltry $1,600.

Eight years later, while battling breast cancer, Nelson wrote a tell-all book about the hip-hop superstar called My Son Eminem: Setting the Record Straight on My Life as Eminem’s Mom.

In the book, Nelson attempted to take credit for her son’s success and reveal how the rapper failed his father.

But the memoir caused even more division with her son.

His grandmother Betty told it National Enquirer at the time: “I heard Marshall wasn’t too happy about Nelson writing the book and re-examining their relationship, or rather, lack thereof.

“It reopened old wounds, and in retrospect I think she regrets it.”

Eminem has a form for dumping a parent.

He is survived by his father Marshall Mathers Jr. – also known as Bruce – never forgave Nelson for abandoning Nelson when he was a toddler, leaving the couple living in poverty.

The rapper was so outraged that he ignored his father’s pleas to make amends before dying of a heart attack in 2019 while living in a run-down bungalow.

In her book, Nelson said: ‘He never knew his father and I did everything I could to make things right.

“I wasn’t happy when he built a whole new life for himself – what mom wants to be known as a pill-popping alcoholic living on benefits.”

Eminem has won fifteen Grammys and an Oscar during his career.

Debbie also insisted she played a big role in her son’s music success.

She said, “Somebody had to get behind him, honey, to get him where he is now.

‘I know he often felt defeated and wanted to give up.

‘Someone had to get behind him to push him. And it was certainly no one else but me. He didn’t have a father in the picture.’
