Donald Trump just accepted the Republican nomination for president at the Republican National Convention – and he talked about the attempted assassination… a sobering moment indeed.
45 took the stage in Milwaukee on Thursday, wrapping up a week of speeches and appearances, all with the expectation that he would say, yes… I’ll be your guy heading into the November election. Of course, everyone expected what he would say about Saturday.

Listen… DT says he was in the middle of a conversation about border crossing numbers while using a map on a monitor behind him – when he suddenly felt a sharp pain in his ear while also hearing a whooshing sound. Trump says he knew immediately it was a bullet.

He also says he believes the crowd thought he was dead – which is why they didn’t immediately flee… noting that there was sadness in the air. To reassure them, Trump said all he could do was raise his fist and say “fight.”
Trump went on to talk about how he thinks he will unite the country if re-elected… and he also took the opportunity to condemn the criminal/civil cases filed against him lately.
Another highlight of the speech… he kissed the late Corey Comperatore’s firefighter uniform — who was murdered during the rally – right there on the podium.
It probably goes without saying, but Trump’s comments were incredibly well received among his party members – with applause and cheers sprinkled throughout his time at the microphone… in fact, he’s still at it now.
At the end of his remarks, Trump sounded optimistic and full of strength, and his energy was matched by the audience at virtually every step. Trump vowed to fight like hell against President Biden…or any Democrat facing the fall.
With Trump officially the Republican nominee – the only question now is… will Joe stay in the race, or will he bow to mounting pressure among high-ranking Democrats.
