Bridgerton casting director flooded with X-rated audition tapes

a Bridgerton casting director has been inundated with X-rated audition tapes ahead of the Netflix series’ fourth season.

Kelly Valentine Henrywho has worked on the show since its debut on the streaming service in 2020, said during the Sunday, June 30 episode of the “Should I remove that?podcast that the videos she received are reminiscent of adult films.

“It’s every day… I get the most incredible videos, unsolicited,” Hendry told the podcast’s hosts, Alex Light And Em Clarkson. “It’s basically sex, it’s not real sex, but it’s pretty spicy. They’re not nudes, but not far off.’

Hendry, 47, added that her inbox is constantly “90 percent” full of emails from hopeful actors wanting to join the hit period drama, which is known for airing some of the hottest sex scenes on TV.

Hendry, who also worked on the British ITV series Broadkerksaid that many of the aspiring actors who contact her are hoping to land the role of Sophie Beckett, Benedict Bridgerton’s love interest, played by Luke Thompsonas introduced in the critically acclaimed Bridgerton romance novels that inspire the TV series. This is despite Sophie’s role not being officially confirmed.

The fan prediction comes next Collider reported that Netflix released a casting call last month detailing the search for a “major recurring role” and a “character between the ages of 24 and 30 described as courageous, endlessly resourceful, and having difficulty trusting others.”

The character was also written as an East Asian woman and there was a comment about the track featuring nudity and scenes of a sexual nature.

Although the character was reportedly given the title ‘Emily’, fans were quick to speculate about who the character might really be.
