The process of getting Hailey into The First Descendant works a little differently than the usual hunt for character blueprints. This hair-raising, sniper-wielding Descendant is a new export from Season 1, and players can’t wait to try out her gear. Nexon introduces a new way to address RNG issues with growing Hailey, but that doesn’t make it any less difficult.
You can purchase this character from the store with 900 Caliber, which means you’ll have to spend at least $19.99 to get the 1,060 Caliber bundle. This guide will cover exactly how to get and create Hailey for free.
Unlock Hailey in The First Descendant (Free)
To get Hailey in The First Descendant, you need to craft all three of her components: Enhanced Cells, Stabilizer, and Spiral Catalyst. Then you need to link them to 36 Hailey Data Chips, the new replacement for a ‘code’. Rather than collecting or acquiring blueprints directly, you will have to edit more detailed ‘snippets’ of the blueprints.

Below we have explained how to do this for each part and what ingredients you need to make it. Note that the only guaranteed way to get fragments for Hailey’s components is through Invasion Dungeons, with the fastest clear speed bump yielding three of the same fragments.
Hailey enhanced cells
Creating Hailey requires Enhanced Cells 36x Hailey enhanced cell DNAwhich can be farmed from Invasion Dungeons (any region) or mission monsters Master Lab And Slumber Valley (Kingston, Hard). You will also need the following resources:
Hailey stabilizer
To research Hailey Stabilizer you will need 36x Hailey stabilizer componentsavailable from Invasion Dungeons (any region) or monsters in The shelter (Vespers, Hard) and The Chapel (Echo Swamp, Hard). You will also need to use the following resources to create it:
Hailey spiral catalyst
Hailey Spiral Catalyst research required 36x Hailey spiral catalyst rings. These come from Invasion Dungeons (any region) or monsters in The shelter And Ossuary of Caligo (Agna desert, harsh). The other materials needed for this are:
Hailey data chips
Finally the Hailey data chips necessary for the full character to be grown from samples The Harbour (Hagios, Hard) and The end of the mystery (White-Night Gulch, Hard) – or, again, from Invasion Dungeons, where they have a 25% chance of being dropped as a completion reward.
How long does it take to edit Hailey in The First Descendant?
While mission monsters and Dungeon bosses can drop Hailey fragments, the chance of this happening is too low to rely on. The main way you get these parts is through Invasion Dungeons.
Completing all of these gives you a 25% chance to get fragments for each of the four parts (Data Chip, Spiral Catalyst Rings and Stabilizer Components, Amplified Cell DNA). If you were to clear these as quickly as possible to beat the threshold for the gold trophy, you’re only looking at 3x of one part.
Since you can only do four Invasion Dungeon runs per day, that means there are only 12 guaranteed parts per day, meaning you minimum 12 days (144 parts), without considering RNG duplication.
This makes Hailey perhaps one of the most difficult characters to acquire in The First Descendant. Luckily, there’s no rush, as Hailey’s red mods and best ultimate weapon (Frost Watcher) won’t be coming to the game until October.
