Clemson Football’s official X account posted several photos of the star from his college days … acknowledging his death and sending condolences to his friends and family.
A number of his teammates also posted tributes to their late friend … including the Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Tee Higginswho shared a photo on his Instagram story.
In the photo of him and Overton sitting together, Higgins wrote, “Brotha, I miss you already man. I love you 5L… I’m in a lot of pain right now from this. Rest in peace, big game.”
Overton played for Clemson from 2016 to 2019… he caught 52 passes for 777 yards and seven touchdowns during his college career.
He helped Clemson win the National Championship in 2016 and 2018… and a plaque outside the stadium has his name because he was co-captain of the team during his senior season.
Overton was 26.
